Okay, maybe not my kingdom, though there isn’t much in my so called kingdom to be handing over anyway, but you get the sentiment behind the phrase. I need some new guest posters.
The guest post is a fixed slot on a Monday. Originally, they were some guidelines on what the guest could post about, for example, reading; what they enjoy, what irks them, formats etc. Writing; a whole host of subjects to get your teeth into here if you so wish and then there is the whole topic of social media.
Also, please don’t be led into thinking you can only post here if you have an interest in crime fiction. If you write in any other genre, stop by, write us a guest post, introduce yourself and at the end of the post, links go back to your blog, Facebook, Twitter and recent released book.
Another thing, since that post, the decision has been made to bring this small blog to life a bit, stop giving it so many rules, and stop being afraid to show the genuine side of who we are. So with my recent admission of both the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardio Syndrome, I though I would also say, if you have something to say on these subjects or living with any other invisible illness and the hurdles you have overcome, then let me know. Maybe you are coping well in a specific area and want to share your achievement, Even if that’s simply getting through a day as well as someone not living with either of these disorders, then we will be more than happy to hear about it.
Please can I ask though, that you don’t ask to do a post if you are here to get a link back to a personal business site. This is about finding, reaching and interacting with the great people who are out there, that we know we haven’t met yet.
If you fancy this idea. Drop me an email with your idea, to rebecca.bradley2010@gmail.com

Rebecca – It’s good of you to be willing to host guest posters. I think guest blog posts are such an effective way to get to know one another and to “meet” bloggers who have interesting insights.
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Margot. I love the idea of guest posters. I think it’s great for both the host and guest and I love how the blog community interacts with each other.

Very generous! I’d need to think of something interesting to say…
Rebecca Bradley says
Alex, I can’t believe you’d need to think very hard! I love your blog!
Jane Isaac says
Ok, now I’m feeling guilty… Will get mine to you soon. Did you see I mentioned you in my latest blog?
Rebecca Bradley says
Oh no. That wasn’t my intention Jane! Don’t worry about it. I know how busy we all are. I’m happy for guest posts to come in as and when 🙂

Believe it or not, I’ve never seen anyone ask for a guest blogger before. (Guess I don’t get out enough.) You could just do what I do — uh — go dark for a while. Yeah, I know. I’m boring. But it’s only a blog. Not like anyone pays ya for it. Do what you want, post when you want, be free!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Lexa. I think I’ve taken your advice this week. I haven’t had the energy to post and I feel really bad about it!
DJ Kirkby says
This is a great (and generous) idea and I would love to contribute but my blog is neglected as it is! Perhaps in a few months when things slow down a bit and I can do justice to my blog posts and a guest one for you.

Denyse, I know writing blog posts is another time consuming job on top of many others. I would of course love to have you any time, but I’m always in awe of how much you do anyway. It’s always lovely just to see you drop in. 🙂
