I’m the author of the Detective Hannah Robbins series, set in Nottingham, the Detective Claudia Nunn series, set in Sheffield, and two standalone thrillers. Dead Blind deals with prosopagnosia, also known as face-blindness, where the affected person is unable to recognise faces even their own, and Perfect Murder is from the point of view of a crime writer who wonders if she really could get away with murder…
I live with my family in the UK with our two Cockapoos, Alfie and Lola, who keep me company while I write. I need to drink copious amounts of tea to function throughout the day and if I could, I would survive on a diet of tea and cake while committing murder on a regular basis. As well as writing I love to read, watch movies and box-sets and I run the Virtual Crime Book Club. You can find more details on the book club HERE.
After 15 years of service in the police, I was medically retired. I worked in both uniform roles and in my final years as a detective on a specialist unit.
I live with the genetic disorder Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and a secondary disorder Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Both cause day-to-day issues, but writing brings joy to my day.
