Yesterday I told you a fib… Yes I did. Right Here. All part of Jamie Ayres 18 Truths book release blog hop.
Now it’s time for the truth.
- I was once bitten by a horse while on a week long driving course.
This I’m afraid is true. While on this week long driving course, my driving instructor had to stop off for five minutes and we were next to a field with horses in. So we got out the car to stretch our legs and went to stroke the horses. I as I stroked this particular horses muzzle, he suckered up his big wobble lips and pulled my thumb in and promptly bit down. Once I was released and everyone saw I was fine, they all thought it was hilarious!
2. I once did a tandem skydive.
Also true. When I was about 17/18 I decided I really must do this, so I booked it, collected quite an amount in charity monies for a local charity and jumped out of a plane for fun and I absolutely loved it! I would love to do it again, but I’m not sure my body would allow it. It’s definitely an experience and if you have the chance, I’d recommend it.
3. I once met Ross Kemp at a services and found him to be really pleasant.
I can’t vouch for his pleasantness or otherwise, though I have heard he is a nice man, but no, I’ve never bumped into Mr Kemp in the services I’m afraid. Now wouldn’t it be nice if this happened now.
Any surprises? Would you like to jump out of a plane and freefall? Go on!
Lying is unbearable, betrayal is inevitable, and choosing which path to take is impossible.
Olga Gay Worontzoff ended her senior year as an eighteen-year-old girl totally in love with Nate, enjoying their new romance and about to attend the university of her dreams. Now she’s spending her summer in the weird subculture of the Underworld, with charmingly witty and powerful angels, and problematic demons, trying to rescue Connor, the best friend and secret crush she was unable to save during a freak accident.
But Nate has other things on his mind, mainly Grace. She’s their first assignment as joint spirit guides, and Olga’s feeling hurt and jealous. His mysterious behavior has Olga questioning everything she believed about him and now she must decide whether to stick to their plan, or follow her heart.
Unfortunately, a series of mistakes threatens everyone around her and plants Olga in the center of cosmic events much larger than she ever imagined.
Only one thing is for certain: the chilling truths uncovered during her journey will leave no one untouched.

I missed the lie, but I knew the horse bite had to be real.

I think many people have had that experience haven’t they 🙂
Margot Kinberg says
Rebecca – Oh, you did that quite well! Sorry to hear you were bitten, but you handled that quite skillfully – I was taken in.
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Margot. It was some time ago now. It was the strangest thing. And everyone else there thought it hilarious – once they saw I still had my fingers 🙂

I have been thrown from a horse but never bitten – those big teeth are very scary! ouch 🙁
Rebecca Bradley says
They have massive teeth! It’s not fun being thrown by a horse either.

We went into a field with a stallion when I was a child and my very small brother was picked up by his t-shirt by the horse. I can’t go anywhere near one to this day! I love this post 🙂
Rebecca Bradley says
I’m not usually afraid of horses, but they are such large creatures aren’t they. They wield so much power!

I think that episode scarred me for life!

I guessed wrong!
Well done on braving the skydive! Just while we’re on the subject – I’ve been bitten by a horse too. Maybe they like to chomp writers. Great posts, Rebecca. 🙂 xx
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Elle. Good job our fingers are ok!

Guessed wrong again! All you writers are excellent liars, lol. It was fun though, wasn’t it?!

It was a great event Jamie!

I had the same experience with a horse when I was a kid! I can laugh about it now but it wasn’t funny then, he about bit my finger off and I was totally freaked out LOL.
Rebecca Bradley says
My sister was bitten by a horse when she was a child. She was feeding one by hand and curled her fingers….

Clever approach. I read through everything with interest!
Rebecca Bradley says
It was difficult to come up with them, especially the lie!

I missed your post and didn’t get to guess, but still interesting. I had a horse chomp down on my thumb once too.

They’ve got massive teeth, it’s not very pleasant is it?
