Today’s post is a lighthearted easy, bank holiday Monday post. It’s all about my foray into cupcake making!
I have never really baked. Much as I love cakes, I didn’t bake. I know, this made me a terrible mother. Now however, I have started baking and I can’t stop. It’s got so bad, I’ve managed to create a cake club at work! Really. I asked who wanted to be included in a cake club rota and got ten volunteers. So now we have cake every Monday at work.
Here is a pictorial display of my attempts at cupcake making. You will see the improvement from week one, where I didn’t possess a piping bag, to week four where I not only manage to pipe, but add two ingredients.
I’m going to be huge!
First attempt and no piping bag!
Looking better with the help of a piping bag.
These were delicious, carrot cake cupcakes!
The best so far, Raspberry and white chocolate! Like I said, I’m going to be huge!
Sweet tooth or savoury?

Well done, these look great. I might have to get some baking in later today. I’ve avoided buying a piping bag as I thought I’d get carried away. You might have persuaded me.. Baking fairy cakes took me over a little and I ended up collecting the cake cases. I now use them to plan my novels..

Wow what fun! Unfortunately I don’t have a large female staff at my work 🙁 These look delicious.

The thing I mostly dislike about the current cupcake craze is the topping – it has far too much sugar and I have to scrape it off. The raspberry and white chocolate ones look amazing!

Those look yummy! I love baking, and it’s tough with only me and hubby. I can’t really use your idea of getting people from work baking because I work in a restaurant that has a bakery so we eat what the baker (which 3 years ago was my job) makes.

Wow, these look great! I’ve never been able to master a piping bag.
The white choc and raspberry sound especially lovely. 🙂

I’m usually all about the savory, but I relent when it comes to cupcakes! Yours look scrumptious, with or without the piping bag. 🙂

YUMMMMMMMMMMM. I love cake. I have never been able to bake. My cakes always come out like pancakes which is suppose is good because I would be huge.
Your cakes look amazing. Keep us posted with pictures please.
