I have been a bit naughty and missed a couple of blog posts over the past week. The day job has kept me ridiculously busy, so the blog has unfortunately paid the price. Today however, I am pleased to accept a sunshine award I was nominated for by the very lovely crime writer Jane Isaac over at Caffeine’s Not A Crime.
I love sunshine, so lets hope this award brings with it some very real sunshine. Especially as I’m at Harrogate on Thursday!
Anyway, here are the rules of the award:
1. Include the award logo in a post or on your blog.
2. Answer 10 questions about yourself.
3. Nominate 10 other fabulous bloggers.
4. Link your nominees to the post and comment on their blog letting them know they are nominated.
5. Share the love and link the person who nominated you.
I thought I’d follow Jane’s lead and share ten of my favourites:
1. Children’s’ book – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
2. Adult book – The Dispatcher
3. Film – The Negotiator
4. European destination – Cyprus
5. Food – Cantonese
6. Opera – Never seen
7. Colour – Grey
8. Fresh flowers – White Arum lilies
9. Passion – Writing (An obvious)
10. Tipple – Grapefruit vodka (A new drink I recently tasted)
Having recently moved blog space, I feel I’m kind of having to find my blogging feet again. It’s not a bad thing, kind of refreshing actually. Here are ten blogs that I am still following and think you should check out.
@Writermels at High Heels and Book Deals She blogs books and has recently released her second novel.
@analissacrawf at Wake Up, Eat, Write, Sleep A writer who blogs about her life, writing, books and genuinely has a sunny readable blog.
@elizagreenbooks at Eliza Loves Sci Fi A Science Fiction writer from Dublin who has a great and easy to read blog.
@patricialynne at Independent Young Adult Author An enthusiastic blog on the joys of indie publishing.
@pamreader at Pamreader A great book blog from Pam who runs a book club in Nottingham and who will hopefully be guest posting here shortly.
@cathbore at Mersey Writer About Town Friendly author, screenwriter and mentor. A blog worth checking out.
Murees Dupes at Daily Drama of an Aspiring Writer who blogs honestly about the ups and downs of being an aspiring writer.
@donnahosie at Musings of a Penniless Writer A great blog by Donna, author of YA Urban Fantasy.
@Emmapass YA Author and word addict who just got herself a wonderful new website.
@LouiseMPhillips at Louise Phillips Writer A crime writer with a great blog worth checking out.
Please do check out Jane’s blog. Thursday I’m off to Harrogate for the crime writing festival for four days. I hope to post something while I’m there. If not, I will fill you in when I get back.

Congratulations! A very well-deserved award. And I’d like to visit Cyprus myself…
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Margo. I went to Cyprus about 5 years ago. It really is a beautiful place and one I’d love to go back to. The problem is, the planet is a huge place and there are so many places I want to see!

Congratulations on the award, and thank you so much for passing it to me. I have received it before, however, so I’m going to just say a gracious ‘thank you’.
I’m actually stopping by to say I’ve given you an award. Please stop by and check it out.
