It’s been a while since I blogged about Alfie. I think he was still a small puppy when I talked about him on the blog and showed photographs of him so I thought I’d share some up to date photo’s of the dog he’s turning into. In fact, I think it’s highly possibly I have more photo’s of him now than I do of the kids! He is so adorable and cute. But don’t be fooled by his cute face. Alfie is one intelligent dog and in being so is one mischievous little animal. He likes to pull things off radiators if you’re trying to dry them. You know the Andrex puppy that looks so cute when it’s rolling around in toilet paper? yep, that’s Alfie too. Don’t leave your cup of tea on the floor or he’ll stick his extra long tongue straight into it and start lapping it up. So that cup is then done and in the dishwasher and another is out. We’re trying to train him the command ‘Leave’ but it’s slow going.
Take him off his lead when we’re out and his behaviour changes again. He is wonderful. His recall is beautiful. That is unless he finds a dead bird and thinks you’re going to take it off him! Yuk! Dogs!
So here was Alfie as you last saw him:
This is the grown up version. But not so grown up because he is still a puppy. He’s not yet one until the end of November. My baby!

So cute…such company I bet. Thanks for sharing him Rebecca.
Rebecca Bradley says
He’s wonderful company. Sits under my desk when I’m writing π
Jane Risdon says
LOL I have dust. π
Rebecca Bradley says
Ha! That too π
Jane Risdon says
I am not alone! π
Rebecca Bradley says
But you also have a more beautiful desk! π
Jane Risdon says
It is actually my husband’s but I am allowed to keep it. π
Prashant C. Trikannad says
Rebecca, Alfie is a cute little fellow β they sure know how to make your day and make you feel good, don’t they?
Rebecca Bradley says
They definitely do Prashant. He shares my day and I’d be so lost without him.
Alex J. Cavanaugh says
The one where he’s holding the grey dog toy is adorable. He got big, didn’t he?
Rebecca Bradley says
He did get big! I love that photo as well which is why I included it. The size of his teeth like that makes him look scary but its just caught at a time when hes grabbing his toy. You can see by the rest of the photos what a softie he is.
Lucy says
Adorable pup! Such a joy to look at π
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Lucy. Im slightly biased but i think he’s adorable. Sometimes! π
Lucy says
There’s always a ‘sometimes’ involved when having a dog haha π but it’s worth it.
Rebecca Bradley says
It is. I wouldn’t be without him π
Annalisa Crawford says
So gorgeous! Our pup is 8 months now – and chooses which commands he wants to obey. He knows ‘leave’ – on good days – but ‘stay’ is another matter entirely!
Rebecca Bradley says
They’re funny things with the training. I wish mine knew Leave. He’s getting there though. Stay, mm, I need to do that one as well!
Margot Kinberg says
Oh, Rebecca, he’s absolutely adorable!! And I know his mischievous nature must drive you mad sometimes, but he’s so cute I’m sure one can’t stay annoyed for long. You’re doing such a great job with him!!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Margot. Oh, so many times he gets told he’s going to a new home! But no, I couldn’t let him go now. He’s with me in the house all day when everyone else has gone to school and work. He’s my companion.
crimeworm says
Sooo cute Rebecca! Thanks for sharing!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thank you. And you’re welcome. I’m planning on buying him a ridiculous Christmas jumper so you’ll see more of him! π
Julie Flanders says
He’s adorable! I especially love the pic of him with his toy hanging out of his mouth. So cute. I want to reach through the screen and snuggle with him. <3
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Julie. He looks particularly dopey and snuggly there doesnt he? He has a couple of those and he loves them. I have to keep washing them. I wouldn’t dare throw them away!
Jacqui Murray says
He’s truly a sweetheart, Rebecca. Everyone should have a dog if only to remind us that unquestioning faith exists in the world. I can’t get enough of dogs lately. I’m reading a whole bunch of dog books to try to slake (sp?) my thirst–“Breaking Creed”, the Golden Retriever Mysteries, the Raine Stockton Dog Mysteries… My Kindle is exploding.
Rebecca Bradley says
That’s the problem with kindles, they’re so easy to load up aren’t they! And yes, dogs do have an unquestioning faith. I love having him around. He’s particularly wonderful through the day when I’m in the house on my own.
SJI Holliday says
He’s gorgeous!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Susi. I can’t stop taking photo’s of him!
nancyrae4 says
His looks are deceiving! So beautiful, but so frisky:)
Rebecca Bradley says
Absolutely! I’m hoping he settles a little as he gets older, but he is still a sweetheart most of the time…

Thanks for sharing Bob the Dog says woof to Alfie
Rebecca Bradley says
Ha, thank you Bob, Alfie woofs back very enthusiastically. He loves playing with other dogs!
readingwritingandriesling says
π So does Bob
Elle Turner says
He is such a cutie!
Rebecca Bradley says
Thanks Elle. I have far too many photos of him! π
MarinaSofia says
Awww, butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth – just look at him!
Rebecca Bradley says
I know, and doesn’t he just know it! π
Linda King says
He is so cute! My dog Dora’s best friend is a cockerpoo – called Cookie – he’s just over a year old. They are very similar but I can see a little more spaniel in Alfie than in Cookie. So glad you’re enjoying him! π
Rebecca Bradley says
Cookie, what a great name! Alfie looks spaniely, but when his muzzle gets wet, it gets pointy like a poodle, so I like to keep him dry! π What I do like is that he doesn’t lose hair all over the house and all over everyone’s clothing!
