As some of you may know I’m a huge consumer of audiobooks. Since my health has taken a turn for the worse and I get more headaches because of my neck, I struggle to read visual books, so I turned to audio and this has helped me out immensely. The problem has been the amount I can spend on audiobooks due to the huge amount I read.
I was recently directed towards BorrowBox by a friend.
Borrowbox is an app you download to your phone (or tablet) which lets you download audiobooks (and ebooks) from your library. So as with normal library borrowings, the author is still getting money from these borrows.
They don’t have the full choice of books that Audible has, but they do have quite an extensive list of books for you to listen to. It will definitely complement your audio listening habit – if you have one.
All you need, like I said, is to download the app, select your library from the drop-down menu, then to log in. To log in you’ll need your library number and your library PIN so make sure you find these out, or if you’ve forgotten them, go to your library and ask what they are. Your number will be on your little plastic library card, but your PIN is something you will have had to remember. I knew mine as I log in to my library online to reserve books sometimes.

It’s a great service, I do hope you enjoy it! Let me know if you use it and what great books you’ve found on there or if not, if it’s now something you plan on checking out!

This sounds like a great app, Rebecca! I’ve often thought I ought to listen to more audio books than I do, as they’re so convenient. And this just makes it all the more convenient!
