I have a new book out and it’s called Perfect Murder. It’s about a crime writer who wonders if she would be able to commit the perfect murder due to all she knows about killing and police investigations, and goes about testing this, turning her into a serial killer. It’s in first-person narrative so you’re right there with her. As a crime writer, it was a question I did ask myself so immediately considered it a great idea for a book!
Below is the cover – which I think is wonderfully atmospheric – and the blurb. Do let me know what you think.
Perfect Murder
Could you commit the perfect murder?
Alice Friend thinks you can, and she’s going to prove it. But perfection is elusive, and the body count rises as she pursues her aim, changing MO with each kill.
It should be easy. After all, Alice is perfectly suited for the task. As a crime writer she leads a solitary life and has little to get in her way.
Until it does.
Can she really kill and walk away, or will her actions have consequences closer to home than she could have imagined? Suddenly it looks like time may be running out for Alice…

What a great idea for a plot, Rebecca! And now I want to know if she actually gets away with it! The cover, by the way, is fabulous! As you say, very atmospheric, and brooding, and it works. I wish you much success with this.
