Today I have a TED talk by Manoush Zomorodi for you. It’s a fascinating talk. About how boredom can lead to deep thinking and brilliant creative ideas, how the world we live in stops it and what she found when she tried to do something about it. I loved how at the end she said the world needs creative thinkers to survive and move forwards.
Now, I’m not suggesting you get as drastic as some on the video and delete those apps, but wasn’t it interesting that it’s boredom that is the creative part of our day. I know I can sort out plot holes when I’m showering because I have nothing to really do but think. (I should spend more time in the shower!)
Where are you when you feel your mind ticking over at its best? And do you pick up your phone far too much? (Go on, you can admit it here. I won’t tell anyone…)
