I mentioned a while ago that I was going to build a website and incorporate the blog into it. I said it would happen quite quickly. The problem was, I hit a snag – I couldn’t build it! So, I sought outside help. My book cover designer, Design For Writers and now I’m thrilled to say the new website is now live.
If you look closely you will see the swirly pattern in the cream background are actually fingerprints! How cool is that?
The blog is no longer at rebeccabradleycrime.com, but at rebeccabradleycrime.com/blog, so you might need to change the address in your favourite reader if you still want to keep up with it as this is now on a self-hosted site rather than the WordPress hosted site.
I’ve kept it clean simple and the blog will now continue as it always has. There will be a book review post tomorrow and the final First Draft post on Friday before the Revisions posts start!
I’d love to hear what you think
Love it Rebecca! Simple and effective! Good choices!
Thanks, Susan 🙂
I love it! The fingerprints look great x
Thanks, Steph! They’re a great touch aren’t they?! 🙂
Looking good Rebecca!
Thanks, Caroline 🙂
Wow great use of fingerprints xx
Thanks, Jen. A great touch I thought! – Though I can’t take any credit for them… 🙂
Looks great Rebecca and have now not only following but signed up for the regular newsletter
Thank you Jo, for both! There seems to be a bit of problem with the sign-up form at the moment. I’m working on this with Mailchimp as we talk. Hopefully it will be resolved soon x
Looks brilliant, Rebecca. Congratulations on your new website ?
Thanks, Emma. I feel comfortable and happy in my new home 🙂
Looks great! Easy to navigate, too.
A website is something I hope for in the NY. 🙂
Thanks, Glynis. I wanted it to be as simple as possible. Looking forward to seeing yours next year 🙂
Love the fingerprints, Rebecca! Best of luck with your new site. If you run into problems with self-hosted, let me know and I’ll try to help.
Thanks, Sue, I really appreciate that! x
Looks fab, Rebecca! x
Your new site is gorgeous, Rebecca! Very happy for you!! Looking forward to what you share here.
Thanks, Margot x
Looking good .. I also like the fingerprint idea! Now subscribed 🙂 x
Thank you, Alison!
It is lovely. I’ve seen more authors going with a blog incorporated into a website rather than both as stand-alones (which is what I have). I’m thinking it might be time for a change.
Thanks, Jacqui. Yes, I thought it would be easier keeping it all in one place and I do like how it’s turned out 🙂
Lovely! And the fingerprints are fab! 🙂
Thanks, Elle. I do love the fingerprints. A great touch 🙂
The fingerprints are a nice touch! Looks great. And it showed up in Feedly reader just like always.
I’m really pleased. I was worried when I changed from .com to the self-hosted that I’d lose everyone but it seems not! Thanks, Alex 🙂
Smart and professional – love the fingerprints!
I shall miss you on WordPress but will be back here without doubt. The site is cool. Good luck with your writing. Loved Shallow Waters.
Thanks Jane. I think you can manually put this address into your WordPress reader so you can still read me. I know there isn’t a follow button, but from what I can remember you can input addresses manually. And thank you for your kind comments on Shallow Waters xx
