This post is going to be short. It’s the second time I’ve written it. I pressed publish on the first version and it all just disappeared, there was no back-up, nothing!
So, on with #boutofbooks. We’re all book lovers right? Well I learned of this only yesterday after seeing tweets by some people I follow on Twitter, so being the nosy person I am, I found out what it is.
It is a week long read-a-thon where you read as many books as you can and without setting any limits because it’s not about failing, it’s about reading in a reading community. You can find the website HERE.
The website states;
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 5th and runs through Sunday, January 11th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 12 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
So, as I’m full of this nasty cold virus I managed to pick up at Christmas from family, and my head feels as though it’s in a pressurised fog, I thought I’d give it a go. I was supposed to be working on Hannah #2 but the virus has put paid to that, but this is perfect.
You’re all book lovers. Who is joining me. The hashtag to share and chat and meet fellow readers is the above. You can sign up Here. It’s a bit of reading fun for the week! Lets do it. Come on, you know you want to…
So sorry to hear you’re ill, Rebecca! I hope you feel better soon. And thanks for passing along the word about this meme.
I’m joining in. Back at work, boo, but hope to read three books
It sounds like a good plan for when you’re feeling poorly – but I do hope you feel better soon (after a good dose of medicinal reading, I’m sure). I’m off on my travels tomorrow morning, which at least does mean some reading on the plane.
I saw this, while flicking idly through the blogosphere, as I’m won’t to do…I quite fancy it…but I’ve loads to do this week (I’m sure I’m not the only one!) Still, I may join in…And I do hope you’re feeling better soon.
Rebecca, I hope you’re feeling better already. With three books a week, I usually have a Read-a-thon every week except I don’t finish them the same week.
Sorry to hear y’re poorly Rebecca, but good luck with the #Boutofbooks. i’m in amoungst a #boutofnappies lol 🙂 xx
Good luck with this! I’ll start with your Hannah #1. BTW, I’ve had the same bad experience with my WordPress blog. Enough times that I often Ctrl+C to copy a post before saving/publishing. I think it’s when I’ve been logged out (for no good reason) and then the site has no where to save stuff.
Or it’s God’s hand. Who knows.
Good tip Jacqui, this has happened to me too so I’ll remember that. It’s intensely irritated typing for ages then it just disappears.
