I’m a day late with my Insecure Writers Support Group post and I apologise for that. I think I must be taking a bit of a mental break after the whole April A to Z challenge thing.
Anyway, I’m obviously feeling insecure – I’m out on submission. We all love rejection right! So, instead of a post filled with all those insecurities, I thought I’d share a positive video I found on the TED channel. I love TED. You can find so much of interest on there, and to suit anyone’s interests.
This video is the Eat, Pray, Love author, Elizabeth Gilbert, sharing how she manages not only her success, but more importantly, her failure and how that impacts on creativity. You may be surprised. It’s a wonderfully positive video and isn’t very long, so worth a watch.
Here’s to the writing.
You can find a list of all ISWG participants Here.

Thanks for sharing this, Rebecca. I know exactly what you’re going through being out on submission. I really do wish you well with that. And I think you’re right that it helps us all to focus on the positive and try to be upbeat. Managing failure is part of that.

I can relate to her hesitancy to continue writing, although certainly not on her level.
And no worries you are a day late!

Thank you for sharing this video!!! I can relate to the hesitancy in failure and success – although I haven’t had that kind of success. We have to find that home and act from there 🙂
