Yes, you read that correctly crime fiction fans. Author of this months book, Someone to Watch Over Me, Yrsa Sigurdardottir, will be joining us in the Google+ Hangout for the crime book club meeting. All the way from Iceland!
Not only is this a first, having an author join us for a book club meeting, but our first author is Icelandic author Yrsa Sigurdardottir!
So, if you have read the book and want to join in but haven’t been to a meeting yet, feel free to make this your first and if you haven’t started reading it, you still have time. The meeting is Wednesday (coming) the 19th February at 8 p.m. GMT.
Get your questions ready, your insights available, because she really is coming.
If you are not sure how it all works, there is a post Here that explains all the technical stuff. You need to find me on Google+ and add me, then let me know you want adding to the crime book club circle as that’s the only circle that gets the invite into the Google Hangout on the book club evenings.
I can’t tell you how excited I am by this. Starting the book club was an idea in my head that I wasn’t sure would make it to reality. The reality became more than I could have expected when members turned up from around the world. And now we have our first author joining us. Technology has enabled us to create a book club for crime lovers that knows no boundaries and it actually allows to talk face to face. I do hope you’ll join us next Wednesday. Don’t be nervous about what it entails. You can see previous meetings Here on my YouTube playlist.
I look forward to seeing you there!

How super-exciting! I was feeling bad because I haven’t read it yet, but I may have to get my skates on, read it and make sure I can attend. Or at the very least send some questions?

It is so exciting isn’t it! I can’t quite believe we managed this. I do hope you are able to attend. I’m only half way through the book but hope to find time to sit and read the last half in one sitting to get a real feel and understanding of it.
Rebecca Bradley says
And yes, if you really can’t attend, send in some comments/questions.

That’s very exciting news, Rebecca! I’m sure that it will be a wonderful meeting.

I’m so sad you can’t make such a momentous meeting Margot. Hopefully it will be the first of many. I’m so pleased with the way Google+ allows us to have this crime book club.
