I know I’m late doing this, but things are finally back to normal and should be running at their usual schedule from now on.
The vote is in and the decision made. We are reading for November;
The Cry by Helen FitzGerald
He’s gone. And telling the truth won’t bring him back…
When a baby goes missing on a lonely roadside in Australia, it sets off a police investigation that will become a media sensation and dinner-table talk across the world.
Lies, rumours and guilt snowball, causing the parents, Joanna and Alistair, to slowly turn against each other.
Finally Joanna starts thinking the unthinkable: could the truth be even more terrible than she suspected? And what will it take to make things right?
The Cry is a dark psychological thriller with a gripping moral dilemma at its heart and characters who will keep you guessing on every page.
The meeting is Wednesday 20th November at 8 p.m. GMT. I hope to see you there!
You can find all the previous meetings on the YouTube page Here.
This one is next on my reading list- you seem to have a nice synchronicity going on here. And this time, oh, joy! I may be able to join you – I will be travelling, but I’ll be staying at a hotel with WiFi connection and I’m on your time zone (in London), so fingers crossed, it should be possible to connect.
Rebecca – Oh this is a great choice! I’ll be looking forward to our discussion of it.
Excellent choice, I read this a couple of weeks away. I do hope you all enjoy it although I suspect it will spark a few interesting conversations.
