Murder Down To A Tea
I have seen this image doing the rounds on Twitter and Facebook and loved it so much I thought I’d share it here. I think it sums us up pretty well.
Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs.
[…] There are many new ones, which we have tried to focus on, but there are many who are really dedicated to sustainability, aethetics or high quality roasting, so we have kept them in also. With many quasi-vegans (and real ones, come to think of it) getting about, soy milk was also a big one for us, and given how many lactose free 825er’s there are getting about now, milk alternatives in coffee shops are a must as any frequenter of New York, London, Melbourne, or Vancouver knows. We had Americanos (Long Blacks for the Southern Hemispherians), double espressos and soy flat whites to try and gain an objective and fair yardstick for quality. Vibes have also been taken into account, as we know the pure joy of settling into a chair or bench for the afternoon with a good book and a mug of joe. Oh and wifi! Because that’s pretty much the first question we ask as we walk through the door, and is the first tier on Maslows’s updated hierarchy of needs. […]

Isn’t it! We rely on it so much nowadays. There would be many a person going into meltdown if it went down 🙂

Ha, that definitely works for my husband! He complained every single day of holiday when we were in a charming cottage in a remote location in France that we didn’t have WiFi. And spent every minute of lunch in lovely little restaurants trying to find WiFi connection.

I wouldn’t mind being forced to switch off to be honest. It feels as though my brain is never off. Enforced in a place like that would be bliss.

Oh, Rebecca, that is wonderful! And absolutely spot on! Thanks for sharing.

We are just SO connected nowadays Margot. As well as the structural stuff, I think we’d all have a personal meltdown.

If it went down I was going to add!

Has anyone told Mr. Maslow of the revisions? I have his website address…

Where is coffee in that pyramid? Probably behind the Wifi. 😉 Good one!

Or at least tea! 🙂
