When I’m seventy nine I hope I will be able to say;
I’ve lived my life as I truly wanted to live it.
My children have grown to do the same.
I did make a difference. To someone.
I traveled to the places I wanted to see.
I wrote and published a string of novels.
I continue to learn.
I can wear whatever the hell I want.
I have no hangups with food.
I now have to blog by voice to text software because my hands are too arthritic.
My house can clean itself.
I can still clean myself!
I love looking for the planets in the sky with my great-grandkids.
I own more books I can no longer count, in any and all formats.
I adore reading and still read at least four books a month, even if it has to be audio books nowadays.
I look fabulous in this dress.
How many pairs of shoes does this make it?
I love my saggy belly.
I look fifty!
What do you hope to be able to say when you are seventy nine?
DJ Kirkby says
Loved this! When I am 70 I hope to be able to say that I tell my husband and sons how magnificent they are, every day, face to face.
DJ Kirkby says
79 I meant, not 70! Sigh….

Can’t think of anything to add to that list, it’s pretty good.
Rosalind Adam (@RosalindAdam) says
I’d just be glad to be saying anything! Time passes so quickly it sadly won’t be that long!
D.A.Cairns says
Probably not “I look fabulous in this dress.”

Ditto to your great list.

Oh, Rebecca, this is wonderful! I really do love your list! You’ve captured all of the contentment of a life well-lived in that list.

Love you list. I hope my house can clean itself before I am 79!

I can still trudge over the fields with my dog and enjoy my family!
Great list, Hone. May we all live long and happy lives:)

“My wife still thinks I’m hot!”
Wish me luck on that one.

I love this list 😀 I’d like to add, ‘Just getting my runners on for a jog’ 😀

Love this idea, Rebecca. I share many of your aspirations but would probably also add ‘When I’m 79, I want to be middle-aged’. Well. I can dream, can’t I?!
Patricia (@patricialynne07) says
I hope when I’m seventy-nine I still have as much vitality as my grandma does. Other than a little hearing loss, she’s still going strong.

I love the “I look fabulous in the dress” one. : )
