2016 will be with us in a few short hours. Personally, I can’t believe how quickly 2015 has passed me by. It’s been a strange year for me. I went through the medical retirement from the police service and started book two in the DI Hannah Robbins series, having released book one in December 2014.
I feel that I let myself down a little by not having released book two this year, but with going through the personal stuff, I’m going to give myself some leeway this year – but only this once! After this, I intend to increase my productivity so timeframes between releases are lessened. It just seems so long between releases. And the problem is, I have to wait three months from completing the book to releasing it so there is a simultaneous release with Audible, because…
The good news from this year was the three-book deal I signed with Audible. That is exciting and I can’t wait to hear the finished product and I hope readers are as equally excited.
So, in the coming year, I intend to be more productive. I feel that I’ve settled into a writing routine now. The synopsis for book three is all written up and ready to go and I’ll soon start releasing details on book two.
I’m grateful to all the support I’ve had from family and friends, including social media friends, my fellow writers, bloggers and readers, without whom I genuinely could not have done this. You all make my days that little bit easier, so thank you.
I wish you all a great 2016 and hope we can all do whatever it is we set out to do and even if we don’t, we should aim to enjoy ourselves trying anyway!
Happy New Year.
