Welcome to another in the bite-sized interviews.
Today I have the pleasure of introducing Quentin Bates, a UK based author who has lived more than a decade in Iceland and has written several crime novels based in present-day Iceland. He has also translated Ragnar Jónasson’s, Snowblind.
Because we talk about Icelandic crime fiction for the length of the bite-sized interview (10 minutes) I decided to let the interview go on longer as I wanted to be able to talk about translation and I felt you might also be interested in that aspect, so this interview is 17 minutes long. I hope you enjoy it. Quentin was a pleasure to chat with.
Are you a fan of Icelandic crime fiction? What is it about it that you love so much?
