I found this video on YouTube and loved it. How many hardback books do you have and how often do you take the dust jacket off and look at the book itself? Me? I never take the jacket off. Never!
Now after watching this video I’m going to take all my hardbacks off my bookcase and see what is lurking underneath the covers. I may even make my own YouTube video. Will you share yours?

I always took off the dust jackets so I wouldn’t mess them up – some were plain and some had really intricate designs underneath.

Oh, that really is interesting to think of what’s under those dust jackets! Now I’ll have to see what hidden under ones I have…

Cool! I never take the dust jackets off. Now I’m wondering what I’ve missed. 🙂

That’s great – I love her enthusiasm, delight and excitement as much as the revealed under the cover delights!

I too leave on dust jackets. Most of my books end up on a shelf (well-read, but sitting there lonely after the fact) so the covers don’t get spoiled.

I always take the dustcovers off to read them – they annoy me otherwise!

I have to say, it’s one of the first things I do. I feel naughty but I want to see if the cover’s the same or hides a secret. 😉

I always take off the dust jacket – I don’t want to risk bending or tearing it! That would kill me.
